CHRISTMAS WANTS

The holidays for winter celebrations are finally here and this year seems to have gone by so quickly! I think I've grown up so much this year... bring on 2012 when I will be leaving uni (scary) and going into the big bad world of work! Eeek!

Below are some things I've spotted online that I would love to buy when I get some money after Christmas. In the new year, I'm definitely going to go charity shopping/eBay hunting a lot more, most of my favourite clothes are vintage whereas if I buy something from Topshop or something I will usually only wear it a few times and then be bored of it!

Have a good weekend everyone!

VELVET

This post is well overdue, I just have loads and loads of uni work that I am practically drowning in!

Anyway, I love velvet, it is basically everywhere at the moment. I really love the leggings that are in Topshop and velvet playsuits! Even though I couldn't afford it I bought a velvet dress the other day! Inspiration below!

Tell me what you guys think about it!

CREEPERS

Creepers are a shoe you either love or hate. I think people with a more girly style probably won't wear them but for me I really like them. If I had the money to splash out I would definitely buy some (some with a generally tiny platform though). You could wear them with skinnies, leggings or tights. They such an awesome winter shoe!

Take a look at some style inspiration with the creeper shoes below! Tell me if you like them!

WINE/BLOOD RED

Major colour trend this winter is wine/blood red. I love it, I've already bought a top and a pork pie hat in this colour! I think it's a really warm yet stylish colour for the winter. Just a simple piece of your outfit with this colour would make it on trend for the winter. I found some great examples of it below for inspiration!

P.s Dissertation and loads of uni work is taking up all of my time argh!

HIGH WAISTED JEANS

At the moment I am loving the kind of early 90's look of the high waisted skinny jeans. To be honest I don't think I could pull them off myself but I still love the look! I would try and get some vintage Levis ones, I think they always look the best! Pictures below.

Also (totally unrelated), I went to see Bon Iver last night, I was right at the front and I got some amazing videos, was really the best band I've ever seen live!

LEOPARD PRINT TRIM

I love love love things with a trim of leopard print, like on the collars on shirts or on denim jackets for example. I've seen some amazing denim jackets with a big leopard print cross on the back which looked great. I just bought a vintage shirt from eBay that I adore, with the leopard trim! I can't wait to get it! It is in the picture below!

You could get this look by buying some leopard print material and cutting it down to fit your collar and cuffs for example (I really want to do it on a denim jacket) and then sewing it to the jacket!

COLLARS

A trend I really like at the moment is collars. I think wearing a simple white shirt with a black collar or a collar over a jumper for example is a really stand out piece for the next few months.

I found some really great inspiration for this look in the pictures below. I am going to invest in a white shirt with a black collar soon I think!

HALLOWEEN

Since Halloween is round the corner I wanted to show you what my outfit ideas are. I'm basically going as a vampire, but like a modern one not an old school Dracula one! I did it last year so I'm getting some yellowish contact lenses and I'm cutting some false nails and cutting them down and shaping them to look like two fangs then sticking them on my teeth with nail glue (not recommended but it did look good!) they are easy to get off afterwards! (picture below)

I was thinking of maybe a dribble of fake blood from one side of my mouth aswell and fake blood on my hands etc and red lipstick maybe? But I'm totally not sure on what to wear! Possibly some sort of white shirt buttoned up to the top from a charity shop or Primark? Any ideas? Remember I will be wearing heels and stuff so I don't want to do the whole vampire cape, think Twilight not Dracula! Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Happy Halloween!

FAIRISLE

I love the fairisle print, especially since last winter when it first appeared on my radar. It is such a wintery print which I absolutely adore. It can be on jumpers, vests, leggings etc! I know Primark do some fairisle leggings right now. Also I find loads of vintage stuff on eBay like oversized fairisle patterned jumpers.

Also sorry for the lack of posting lately, since I've started uni again I don't have an enormous amount of free time for blogging because of all the work I have to do, but I will definitely keep blogging just not as much! :(

TOPSHOP WISH LIST

So I'm sitting here alone on a Saturday night (boo) and I was wondering what to do my next blog post on. I couldn't really think of any trends that I haven't already blogged about that I could feature so I thought I would show you what is currently on my Topshop wish list :)

1. Fleetwood Mac slouchy jumper, I thought this would be cosy for winter at uni.
2. Leopard print ankle boots- definitely need some of these!
3. Black coated shorts. Debating whether to get these. Think I might get some high-waisted leather shorts from eBay instead...
4. Leopard print jumper
5. Faux leather panel leggings

What do you think I should buy this month?

ALLEGRAS

As I have mentioned in my previous posts, I finally got some Topshop Allegra boots. I really really wanted them so I had to get them! (I don't think I've ever spent £75 on a pair of shoes before!) I think they sold out online the day after they came back in stock... They are great for day time and night time, so I don't think I'm ever going to take them off!

The allegras, in my opinion, are the best of the chelsea boot trend coming back for autumn/winter. There is absolutely loads of chelsea boots in all of the high street shops at the moment, which is perfect for the autumn/winter months!

Below are pictures of my beautiful shoes plus some other photos I found of some ways to wear chelsea boots :) Tell me what you think of the chelsea boot trend!

WINTER KNITS

Sorry I haven't had chance to update my blog over the weekend! Oops! Anyway I thought since its getting colder and pretty much nearly winter in the UK I thought I'd dedicate this blog post to winter knits.

I've always loved a good thick jumper for winter, especially geeky print ones. But now knitted leggings are in also! I have a grey pair. You can get a variety of colours from Primark!

Below I found some cool photos from lookbook.nu as an example of what to buy and how to wear knitwear.

Also I have been on an online shopping spree recently (bye bye money) and I got loads of random stuff PLUS Topshop Allegra boots! Wooo! They are finally back in stock so I had to get them! I don't usually wear anything with a heel during the day but I think these are perfect for day and night since they are not too high!

1. Topshop fisherman jumper
2. New Look - Boxy Knitted jumper
3. New Look Cable knit jumper
4. Fairisle knit leggings eBay.
5. Princes Vintage knitwear (Check out the mens jumpers aswell)
6. Princes Vintage

Personally I think the best place to get a cool looking jumper/cardigan is from charity shops or eBay :)

BAMBI NORTHWOOD-BLYTH

A model I've been noticing for the past few months for her style and her look is Australian 21 year old, Bambi Northwood-Blyth. I love her massive brows and her nose ring that she sometimes has in! I think I love her for her awesome fashion style than anything else.

I found some pictures of her that show her style below.

Also I'm going back to uni next month for my final year! :( So I really need to start my dissertation prep, but I seriously don't have any motivation to do it whatsoever, I'm still in summer holiday mode! Ahh!
